Unlimited is not possible, do not fall for it.

What I am thinking like this.
Unlimited Disk space is possible But not the Bandwidth (Bandwidth is so expensive). because nowadays we can buy 180GB disks :D But that is not going to be unlimited. Its possible until you reach the limit of the disk I think we can install another 2 or three disks ( hard disks are cheap ). And after that as a web hosting company you should give alterative solutions to your clients.
:cool2:

Sorry guys This is only my opinion.:classic2:

But put aside my dislike for IDE drives in servers, think about what you're saying. You say you can get 180GB drives, which yes you can, and you then go on to say that you could instal another 2 or 3 if need-be. Well, that's all fine and dandy, but it's not really unlimited now, is it? ;)

The point of the matter is, neither unlimited disk space nor data-transfer is possible.

Bruce

No, unlimited means boundless, endless, immeasurable, indefinite, infinite, measureless, unbounded, unmeasured, limitless, ilimitado, illimité, unbegrenzt, etc., etc.

No. They (leethosting.com) have a limit of 400 GB. They offer unlimited, but you can only fit so many "unlimited" accounts on a limited server. You'll be lucky to get a few GB (5-10) or you'll get stuck on a overloaded/slow server.

from your (the elf) great advice i get that when i buy hosting i should always go on a pre-limited bandwidth like before you buy they give you an amount
if i give you an address of a host will you be able to tell me if it's good?

Well, 1uhost offers unlimited bandwidth. A host has a better chance of offering unlimited disk space then unlimited data transfer.

Hmm, they *both* offer limited data transfer.

What kind of site do you have?? Lots of images and stuff like that?

puzo
July 14th, 2002, 16:44
im hosting about 600kb of images & pages & about 15MB of ZIP's

How much data transfer do you use?

I don't want to be rude or anything, but geez. Don't think you'll be able to use hundreds of GB's for under $5/month.

Take your current disk space usage & transfer usage and triple it. That should last you, I would hope so anyway.

currently im using 3.5GB of bandwidth on my legal site & 3000GB of bandwidth on the illegal im planning to use 8GB of bandwidth on the legal (the illegal is hosted on a private server) do you think they can supply 8GB of bandwidth?
i asked 1uhost.com what will happen if i use 15GB of bandwidth & they said its ok as long as i dont host my illegal site there (most of the bandwidth goes the the legal site)
i asked dawwar the same question but no reply

No, don't go with any unlimited host. Find a provider that offers the amount of bandwidth you need (do a background check on them if you want) then signup.

A fixed limit is a whole lot better then a "unlimited" limit. At least you know the limit ;)

Check out http://www.webhostingtalk.com, lots of hosts post in the web hosting offers forum.
