the current list :

Chicken, Jan, Mandrake, Peo, rockergrrl, Todd, Webdude

I notice ashben has gone .....

However , i was wondering if afew other could go .. i believe moderators should also interact with the forum .. also because Peo and Todd are admins they don't need to be in the list

Chicken, Jan, Webdude

then add the mod hack whereby it puts all mods in a drop down :)

Are you suggesting that certain moderators should leave? Are you hoping to take thier place?

Do those modifications you suggest really matter?

Do those modifications you suggest really matter? Nope. It's just what he wants, yet it's not his place to make that decision.

Also, Mandrake is around the forums almost every day. Just because he doesn't reply to every thread doesn't mean he's not "interacting."

I'll agree that RockerGrrl isn't around too often, but she's a busy person. Just because people have a life doesn't mean they're not capable of moderating a forum.

Are you suggesting the mods are doing a less than superior job? Cause I'd have to disagree. I see ashben around here a lot by the way, and personally, he's helped me a lot on several occassions.

If I'm not mistaken, Rockergrrl is a proud mom, so being here all the time is not priority. But she's a mod for a reason, and she does a good job when she's here.

Chicken, Jan, Webdude are all here all the time, and you can't say they haven't done a good job keeping things in line, especially General Discussions, where things have the potential to be more volatile.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm sucking up or anything, but this is one of the best modded boards out there, because it's so big and incidents happen a lot, but they are dealt with quickly.

One more thing. Complaining about the current situation and demanding change is not the most ideal way to try and get yourself in a mod position.

Thanks for the support :)

Just for the record, ashben isn't gone but opted out of moderating because he is too busy to give it his all. And in an email to me, also mentioned he hasn't time to to promote his own forums either. http://www.eServicesHub.com

He's still around though, and is a huge help. He taught me about SymLinks, and how to fix a cookies problem I had on my phpbb2, and countless other things.

Get this straight folks: This forums doesn't need more mods. Simple.

Thanks for your support guys :) And like Jan mentioned: I'm not leaving the forums, I'll be around but not as often. My new job is taking a lot out of me but it's worth it!

Anyways, more moderators or not is something Peo or Todd will implement as & when needed.

C Ya!

I do agree with Gayowulf in the fact that cdudeuk18 is most likely doing this for personal gain, but cdudeuk does bring up a valuable point. 0.27 posts per day (rockergrrl's statistics) for any moderator is terrible. Even if a moderator only contributes, say, 3 times per month, I would be happy enough with that, but rockergrrl hasn't posted in more than 3 months. I understand that she's a busy person, but it's not that hard to post at least once per month, even if you're doing your job at moderating. :(

I don't see what the issue is if there is no need for more moderation.

ashben, can you ask someone to change your title? It still shows moderator up there.

Well I do sort of agree that rockergrrl should be removed, but perhaps she was in invisible mode and actually browsing the forum? Who knows.

Also Peo and Todd should just be there for convenience.

A person's post count is in no way relevant to their worth on the forum. Rockergrrl may not post too often, but remember, it's quality, not quantity. Just cause you're a mod doesn't mean you should post just for the sake of posting.

Personally, I just can't see there being any relevant reason for rockergrrl to remain as a mod.

It's unfair, you all attacking her while she doesn't notice!
You ppl don't get it straight don't you: Post counts != Quality Mod

I think you mean post counts don't equal a quality mod

or at least you should.

Adding or removing moderators is ultimately up to Peo. I am sure he will reply to this thread if he feels the need, meantime it is closed. :)
