I plan on including external files in my pages... There's the PHP include function, and there's SSI.
PHP is faster, right? At least, that's what i think... But before switching, i'd like to ask here...

PhP is more than just including external files like SSi. It's a language like CGI, just more reliable and faster

At least as of PHP3, SSI was quite a bit faster for just including static files (about 50% faster or so -- granted these differences are very tiny though).
So, no, PHP doesn't "kick SSI's --- in every way shape or form"
