what is the best web server software out there

I have:
Win ME
700 mx
128 mb
All-in-Wounder Radeon 64 mb graphics card
two 20 gb hard drives

if you are going to make a web server dont use windows, windows is a evil evil thing, get linux or free BSD

The 64 mb grapics card doesnt serve much purpose if its a server.

Depends on the application of the server. But Apache or FreeBSD should be your first choice.

I'm not sure about Windows Me, but with Windows 95/98, I can crash your server in about 5 seconds flat due to a bug in Windows 9x. I wouldn't risk running a server on it if I were you.
