.am is the country code for Armenia

.fm is the country code for the Federal State of Micronesia

.cd is the country code for the Democratic Republic of the
Congo

These are real ccTLDs, and not junk domains from the alternate root scammers.

Go for it if you want to register one of these. They will resolve correctly without any browser plug-ins or other parlour tricks.

Remember, names you register at new.net are not part of the Domain Name System, and should these extensions ever be used (like .biz is), the real domain name will replace your domain name for the world.

Also, only a small fraction of Internet users will ever see your new.net domain names. You either have to be using one of the ISPs who refer to the new.net alternate root in their DNS servers, or someone who has installed the new.net plugin.

Don't support Internet anarchy. Avoid new.net like the plague!

why would anyone want to pay $25.50 for a domain name that only a slim percent of internet users can access? why handicap yourself?

slim percent well i personally can say it is pretty large because new.net goes through tons of software companies and has them add a plug-in to their software not to mention 3 of the worlds largest ISP's have new.net support on there nameservers

Namenerd.com is partnering with new.net i like their idea even though i belive myself .com's are the best i support a new organization :)

Actually new.net only estimates that 25% of the Internet can see their domain names if you do the math. The reality is they severely double-count, so it's probably more like 15%...

why can't they simply ad their plugin to the next version if IE/Windows?

I had find.scifi for a year. I let it go when i realized I could never just tell someone the address on the street. How could anyone use one of those addresses on a business card. Sorry find.scifi.new.net sucks! If i'm going to do that then i'd rather have find.scifi.us (wink).

things are rediculous nowadays, some internet surfers wouldnt even know that find.scifi was a website address if you just found it on a buisiness card, i certainly wouldnt, quiote stupid
