I was wondering if there are any sites that accept cash payments for domain registration.

Paying cash for a domain registration would be risky - as sending money in the mail is always a trust issue. Did the money get there? Did someone steal it in the mail? Did you actually send the money and then yell foul when the recipient claimed you didn't? You you send the money and then the recipient said you didn't?

Always a risk to send cash - though I'm sure there are many registrars who will take your money and register a domain.

It's all about trust.

If you want to send cash then you would have to make arrangements for it ahead of time. But be aware that most registrars will not register the domain until they receive the money. Which leaves the domain open for someone else to take until the money has been received.

We have been suckered into purchasing domains for people either before we have received their check/money order, or before an international check has cleared the bank, just because we are nice guys, and they "had to have the domain online today or else the sky would fall" or some such thing.

In nearly all cases we have been stuck with the domain and never been paid. We eventually take back the domain, or put it on registry hold and no one gets to use it anyway, but it's really a pain in the neck.

We seem to fall for someone's hard luck story every other month or so. Sad, I know... but some of us are slow learners.
