I am not sure on where to post a couple of question, any help would be appreciated as I am new to this.
Here are my questions:
I need to find out what I need to do to accept data strings of information that is being sent over by modem to my server, the information is processed in real time (meaning instantly) and being sent to out to a third party company to be processed.
Example: I will be processing live transactions for check authorizations and credit card transactions from a business/store owner. The information the business/store owner sends me is being sent via modem to my servers. I then send the information to a third party vendor who either approves or declines the transactions and sends the information back to me via the internet. I then send that response back to the merchant via modem and there will be thousands of these types of transactions hourly
1) What do I need to do to make this happened?
2)Is there an ISP or company that I could use for the modem access to process these transactions or do I have to set up the modem racks myself?
3)If I have to set up the modem racks how and what needs to be done? i.e.: types off modems, phone lines and etc.
Where can I find a programmer that is qualified to help me with this project?
As you can see I don't have clue on how to do any of this, but I do have the contracts in place with large companies that are requesting these services.
