Yo,
About a year ago this guy told me about this place where you pay about 100$ for Domain registration. But once it was done you own it for life.
Does this place still exist?
I dont wana keep registering every 2 years

I think 10 years is the max. So, you should be able to renew it for 10 years. It's not such a pain, is it?

It's certainly possible someone is selling "lifetime" registrations, but they certainly would be much more expensive than $100.
CNO domains are $6 at the registry. This is the cheapest cost that an ICANN accredited registrar pays at wholesale.
Domains may only be registered for 10 years - as has been said - so at a minimum, someone would have to renew your domain every 10 years on your behalf. Are you willing to bet that the registrar you cut this deal with will be in business in 10 years to renew this domain for you :). Many will not...
The definition of "lifetime" and "forever" are interesting in this context as well. Is $100 or $1,000 enough for "forever" or a "lifetime" of domain renewals?
Does forever mean you, your children, their children, etc - forever? If so, than how many years is that, really? Will domain names even be around for your childrens children?
Does lifetime mean until you die? That might be next year (heaven forbid), so you may pay $10000 for a one year registration...

I don't think that there is a registrar that provides a lifetime registration... 10 years is the maximum ;)

if such a place existed, sounds to me like the company would take your US$100, tell you the domain name would be registered every year for life, register it for one year, and then a year later they would be nowhere to be found with everyones hard earned money. In other words, it would be a scam.
I have seen a few companies offer lifetime web hosting, and as a general rule, if it sounds to good too be true, it usually is.
