PHP will not work, why?

right, i use php include for my header and footer and i wanted the title to be different on every page so i did some php.

i put the title like this

<title>
<?php
echo("Company Reviews :: $title");
?>
</title>

on the header.php

and on every page i have put

<?php
$title = "Auctions - Ebay, Gothic Auctions and Deal Spin";
?>

This should then set the title as Company Reviews :: Auctions - Ebay, Gothic Auctions and Deal Spin right?. Well it doesn't why not?

Umm...did you set the $title before the <title> tags?

i got it worted, i didnt and i couldnt so i had to put



<?php
$title = "Company / Webmaster Reviews";
include("header.php");
?>


on each page instead of the include :)
