@Home went under, AT&T renamed it from AT&T @Home to ATTBI(AT&T Broadband Internet)

Oh yeah, but the service is still the same and still under the same company. Only the name changed, but the service is still there. Still, the name @home is very common and many use it, even some ATT salesmen that I spoke to.

And @home is NOT common, they went out of business quite some time ago. People just forget that the name has changed.

@home was owned by excite i think, and when excite dropped them ATTBI and comcast.net were creater
Who?
August 9th, 2002, 23:58
@Home just sold bandwidth to places like AT&T and comcast, so thats why AT&T used AT&T @Home

They were partnered. AT&T provided the cable and @Home ran the servers, etc. Then @Home went out of business leaving many people (including myself) without internet access until AT&T got their own network up.

Plan one: There's a $580 setup charge then it's $60 a month.
Plan two: There's a $100 setup charge then it's $100 a month.
Both plans are for the same thing, just a different payment scheme.
