I just received an e-mail today from AM to setup a new account with them I had to enter all my info all over again but I guess it's ok they finally have password protected our stats! I don't know if they are going to review all sites again or what it sounded that way with the e-mail i received.

So they ditched us (most of whom still had an amount in there), and now they want some back... Oh well, they were good before... But really, why do they even have rates for 10,000,000+/month adviews? They barely have 10,000,000 paying impressions... (payment plan)

Um, yeah. I received the email from them, too, the one with the subject line starting with "Great News" and telling me that "You have consistently provided us with valuable inventory and ad performance, and we would like to continue purchasing advertising on your site."

So I go to their registration form. It's a longish form, but -- funny thing -- it doesn't ask for my previous user name or web site address. Irritatingly, it REQUIRES a "password hint".

Near the bottom are check boxes to agree to their terms and conditions. Since these might have changed, I click on the link to see what they are. No big deal. I hit "back" to return to the form, and all my information is gone. So, I type it all in all over again, and hit the submit button.

And get an error message. "Unfortunately, we are experiencing technical difficulties which prevent us from processing your request. A problem report has been generated and will be reviewed as soon as possible. If you wish to provide us with any additional information, email us at adsupport@amazingmedia.com."

Try it again, same thing.

I had been about to drop them. Maybe I should do that after all.

They may have a new look, but it sounds as though they're the same old company. ;)

Anyway, it's great news that they've finally decided to offer password protection (at a bare minimum) to their publishers. Things may be looking up for the firm...maybe.

Password protection of account management is obviously critical. However, password protection of mere statistics is not something I especially care about either way. I post my daily and monthly traffic numbers right on my site.

I make that information public, mostly to bolster the credibility of the site and reduce the number of email flames telling me what a morbid weirdo I am for creating it. And, in the back of my mind, I also imagine someone seeing the traffic numbers and contacting me to propose a more lucrative advertising deal than I have found so far. Okay, that's silly, I admit.

I was expecting to get one of them errors like you did, i don't know why just because it was all new and that's how my luck usually goes, I only stay with them because i can't get accepted by anyone else. :D
