View Full Version : Non-hardcore adult site ad revenue options?
Theater

I am re-opening a non-hardcore adult site that brings in a lot of traffic per month. I had to shut it down for awhile because the free hosting company that hosted me no longer wanted to host the site. I am not mad at them, I actually thank them very much for the time they did host the site.
I found a decent paid hosting company so I can re-open the site, but I want to find a way to make a little money back through advertisements to cover some of the hosting costs. What is the best program for a site like mine to get into? When we were open with the other host we had webstats, and the site had about 2,000,000+ hits per month.
It's a free site that involves F/F media material re-distributed with the permission of the producers that made the movies. I don't want to go into detail what the site is about, because I don't think you guys would understand. Again, it's not a hardcore site by any means, but it's not exactly a site that you would want your children to see either.
Sorry for the rant, to get to my main question and point of making this thread:
What is the best ad service to make money with a site such as mine? What type of ad is the best? I have heard of CPM, CPL...etc etc...
Thank you,

Well....I run a site kinda similar to yours, meaning, it's not a adult site but is not exactly something you want your kids looking at.
I wouldn't really recommend CPC even tho you can get sponsers that pay up to .21 or more with no conversion ratio. Thats because it would take you around 175 clicks to get around the $35 mark, which is about the average the sites pay nowadays if you generate a signup for them...unless you are using their recurring option.
CPM...ahh yes, now if u can find any of those LMK, I have been searching for one with no luck at all!
ATM, I'm trying a mix of recurring & per-signup programs & see how each peform....I would think in the long run recurring would be much better, but the per signup ones are so tempting as you get the big fat amount at once even if the user only signs up for a trial account....they usually pay around $35/signup....whereas if you use the recurring option & the user doesn't go past the trial period, then u get screwed for only around $1.50! Big difference, eh?! But...adult webmasters are not stupid, most users must go past the trial period as why would they pay you $35 per signup even when the user only signs up for a trial period which usually costs them around $2.95?!?
There are a HEAP of programs out there...it really depends on what your site is about, very important to find your niche....but I will tell you what ones I'm using ATM:
http://www.maximumcash.com/ - 56 different sites to promote, pays $35 - $42 per signup with bonuses.
http://www.pornmegabucks.com/ - 26 different sites to promote, 60% recurring or $30/signup.
http://www.primecash.com/ - Don't use them myself anymore (did'nt suit me), Not many sites to promote, but heard they convert well.
http://www.nastydollars.com/ - Apparently convert very well because they have unique content....not a great deal of sites to promote tho. :/
http://www.cecash.com - Many different programs to join with many sites to promote.
You shouldn't have any trouble finding banners without adult content in them as the sites usually provide many different banners.
As a side note, it would be appreciated if you would email me at: gb3@bigpond.net.au so I could give you my refferal code for these programs if thats ok with you, as I'm not allowed to post the links here.
I hope you find these sites helpful. :D

^^^ Bumpy Bumpy ^^^
Site is more popular, received 210,000+ hits yesterday alone with a visitor count ~4,000. Total of 1.63 million hits so far is September. What other programs do you suggest to make money? I'm looking for a program that uses sites that are...not so raunchy. ;)

Popup Traffic and Sponsors will, i don't believe that they have rejected any kind of site.

Affiliate may not have referring pages which contain material that is: offensive or illegal in nature, written in a language other than English, pornographic, MP3, warez, EMU, or ROM related.
thats from popupsponsor.

Well, he didn't say it was pornagraphic, and it isn't a warez site, he claims he has the producers.
