We are allowed 15 minutes of surfing time at work. They really don't flag you until they notice a pattern of 30 minutes or more. I surf during my lunch hour and its so easy to overrun the allotted time. If I cancel the NT logon command as I log on, does that block the snooper?

yes i believe it should because that will not log you onto the network (which might not allow you to access the net) and so they can't track who is on the net when. but they might have a tracker on the ethernet port (which most likely they don't but i have seen it done).
