Where can I get a guestbook script that will:
1. Allow me to edit fields.
2. Require visitors to register.
3. Allow visitors to link to a URL to display their photo.
4. Allow visitors to edit entries via password.
5. Maintain a mailing list of registered visitors.
6. Is fully customizable.
7. Free or low cost.

you could take a forum script and use it for a guestbook, but why the hell do you want visitors to register?

Two reasons: (1)To keep visitors from being impersonated. (2)This is going to be community type site and i have had a bunch transient chatters and visitors without anyway of reaching them for special or hosted chats. I've found that by scheduling special chats my pages have become stickier, with more revisits.
Do you know of a forum script that will:

well, not of one that you could use within a good and complex admin center, maybe this is even a gap in the market ;)
But if you´ve got any PHP or Perl Knowledge you could customize for example the UGB (Ultimate Guestbook), if not, you could find something on http://www.hotscripts.com or on http://resourceindex.com
The best guestbook I´ve found so far is by 4cm, you can look at its features right here: http://www.4cm.com/guestbookpro/features.php
(The live demo link guides me to a dead link though) :(

No, I'm not that advanced. I'll get my son to do it this weekend, when he comes home from school.
