Hello again folks! I need some advise...
I am quickly running out of options and was wondering if I could get some feedback on a few ad companies. I have been turned down by:
fastclicks.com, valueclick.com, advertising.com, click2net.com, websitesponsers.com, Clear Blue Media
and have been accepted by:
http://dimeclicks.com
http://affiliateclicks.com
http://adorigin.com
Has anyone here used any of the ones I've been accepted by? I run celebrity related sites and receive about 1.5-2 million impressions a day, but by click-through ratio sucks at %.12. I'm hosted w/ http://bla-bla.com and only receive abot $150/month.
Also, I hear http://ugo.com/services/partners/directory/ sponsers celebrity related sites, but I haven't applied yet. Any news on them?
Thanks in advance for your help! :)

ohh, okay, could you post a link of your site please?
Iīd like to know why doubleclick.net turned you down, thatīs kinda odd.
Let me take a lil look on your site and Iīll try to name you a few companies that would accept you as a qualified member and viceversa.

Try these (if not before):
http://www.adsmart.net
(1/2 million visits per month required)
http://www.adauction.com
(1 million visits / 100.000 unique visitors per month required)
http://www.starpath.net (not sure, just read about it)
Thatīs all, youīve already mentioned all of the others I know .....
Maybe you have luck with these.
Anyways, can you say why companies like advertising.com and doubleclick.net turned you down? itīs quite scary to hear that.

1.5 million impressions for $150/month are you joking what is that 3 cent per 1,000 ads? lol you can use search traffic.com and put a search box on every page and make more than that easy if you can't get in with any ad companies :)

Actually, almost no visitor uses those kinda search boxes, so you wonīt get so much with this type of advertising.
A good sponsorship based on Impressions, the best and ONLY way to generate more than $150 / month.

I have a celeb site and make more than 150 a month from a search box alone i wouldn't leave it there if no one used it.

BiteTheBugByte, I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but AdSmart, AdAuction and Startpath have all effectively closed their doors. AdSmart was acquired by CMGI/Engage, AdAuction evolved into OneMediaPlace, which will soon transform into Mediapassage and StartPath quickly shut down their program after over-estimating their earnings potential.
Also, there's nothing at all unusual about DoubleClick turning sites down. They are the premiere online ad network, and are as selective as Winstar Interactive and Phase2Media in which sites they accept. You must be generating several million impressions/month (far more than 1.5 mill), and represent an established brand in order to be considered.
And one more thing, searchboxes are one of the most profitable advertising creatives available to mid-sized sites at present. Personally, my sites generate anywhere between $0.30-$1.5 effective CPM from searchboxes - and you'd be very lucky to see those rates from CPM-based banners these days.
Now, back to gertiebeth...
Avoid UGO like the plague for now:

DimeClicks are relatively good. I've heard a few complaints from owners of banner exchanges who claim to have been invited to join, only to have their payments withheld, but I've also heard from many happy affiliates.
You should also try BurstMedia, CJ, BlueFishNetwork, Click Agents, and the affiliate programs offered by Amazon.com and others. (celeb sites generally perform well selling posters, videos, DVDs, fan books)
