View Full Version : You know what's annoying?...

...Me! Or at least, I'm going to be in a minute here, as I all know how much you love these types of threads.

I'm leaving. I'm off to university, and because the Nazis at the housing services denied my residence, I had to find a place in Ottawa to live. This place does not currently have any sort of Internet access. Of course, this may change, and I will lobby to get the access with the people I will be living with (one of the other 2 is from out of town as well, so she probably wants to try and keep in touch with her family and friends too, so this may be easier than I thought). So am I gone for good? Probably not, but I will be away indefinitely, I suppose.

I wonder how many people will be banned when I get back?

Anywho, ciao!

Just make sure you start a thread announcing your return next week ;) . Now THAT would be annoying.

Ya, and have fun!

The forums will be a lesser place without you. :(

We will be forever lost without you.

I suggest authorizing someone to use your username until you return so they can re-run some of your old posts in an effort I suggest you call "The Best of Blank Verse". It will be months before anyone notices. (Yes, I am taking this from a Dilbert strip).

Pronounced differently. This is more like "chow". It's Italian.

Ciao = Italian for goodbye

What's ciao?It's dimestore Italian usually used in place of "tootles". Literally, though, it means "hello".

Someone people use it for both. :confused2

Well, it's a general word that can mean either hello or goodbye (like a wave, for example), but without any sort of context that would tell you which, it's "hello".

That's my understanding of it, at least. If anybody is Italian here (although I've never actually heard an Italian use the word) and can tell us definitively, please do.

Salut! Thats it, that means both hello and goodbye. And look up "fous le comp" in a french-english dictionary... Hehehe

Blank Verse, I am going to need the password for your accout. Since you aren't using it, I think I should. That would be a lot of fun I think.

On second thought... don't. I would end up getting both of us banned because at the moment I am completely gassed.
