I just got a yellow, fluffly baby duckling today, which I absolutely adore, my new pet. :) *gushes* I called my duckling Klumzy.

Anyway, previous to Klumzy, I had a female Siamese fighter who I named A Few Seconds More And The Gorgeous Escapologist Would Be Free. ;)

So, what pets do you guys have, and do they have unusual names? What's the most unusual pet you've ever had? :)

I've got a Fox Terrier. His name isn't very unusual -- Shadow.

One dog, she's a poodle, her name is Muffin but she's only called that when she's been naughty. Any other time, she goes by Lucy Belle. She's black, nine years old, she'll be ten on the fourteenth of this month. Small/medium size, she wears a thirteen inch necklace (that's what she calls her collar and tags and other dangly ornaments. Well, without the proper vocal chords she can't really say "necklace", it's more like "eck-ahss", but you know what she's saying. She has an extremely limited vocabulary, but that's one of the words she can say).

Two birds, both budgies, one gray, one green, their names are Budgie Boy (the gray one) and Budgie Girl (the green one). Very original, I know. Both are approximately three months old, I don't know their exact birthdays. I started out with the intention to teach them to talk, but birds take too damned long and I gave up. They were purchased when the former inhabitants of the first bird cage died. They were three unnamed finches (naming was impossible, they all looked alike and they were all male). In the first month of their lives, two of them ganged up and killed the third. Afterward, the two lived happily for four years, when one died of natural causes. The other went on for a little less than a year more, then he died too. That's when Budgie Boy was bought. He lived in their cage for a week or so, but he was too large for it and needed a bigger one, so I got a massive floor to ceiling bird cage, another budgie, and that brings us up to the present. Prior to the finches two small parakeets lived in the cage, and before that two other small parakeets, and before that one tiger finch, but I'm sure you don't want to hear all their stories.

One fish, a kissing fish, he's older than God, between twenty and twenty-five. There were two kissing fish, two sucker fish, and one other fish I don't recall right now. The five fishes lived together for, oh... one day. The immortal kissing fish immediately killed and ate the odd fish, then one of the sucker fish. The other sucker ran and hide while his friend was murdered, and afterward lived a life of constant fear, always hiding in one place or another. He finally settled in a jar with a small lip at the bottom of the aquarium, where he lived for another two years until he died. Meanwhile, with the sucker fish out of reach, immortal kisser killed mortal kisser. He didn't eat him, just killed him. With the single kissing fish in the tank, I attempted to introduce another sucker fish, but he ate him whole the second I poured him out the bag. He's been living alone now for about eighteen years, hardly ever eating anything. Occasionally he'll come up for a breath of surface air, but otherwise he just forever lurks around the bottom. Hardy little (well, he isn't little anymore, I guess I should say huge) fish, he can go without food for weeks, the water temperature can plunge to near freezing or rise up over a hundred, doesn't phase him a bit. Needless to say, he doesn't talk, but I'm fairly certain he's clairvoyant (in an evil way, not a good Las Vegas way).

Most unusual species and name? Well, dog, bird, fish-- those aren't unusual. I had a turtle when I was like ten, but he's long dead now. Anyway, turtle isn't unusual either. As for the name, Muffin, Budgie Boy, Budgie Girl... I wouldn't say those rank high for originality. Lucy Belle (or Lu Belle for short, but the middle name's always included) is a bit odd to be a dog's name, I suppose.

My brother and mom have 2 cats (one is a kitten) and 2 guinea pigs.
I had a hamster given to me, and he just died. :(
And I have a fish that will NOT die. I think I have had him for 4 years now.

I have a cat, Tiffany.

And two fish that won't die. I feel like getting more, just to give them company, but then the next day those two will die, and the new ones will be left to live for the next 10 years.

I want a pet duck. Not one of them white farm ducks, a mallard. That would be cool.

I've had my budgie for about 6-7 years now, and hes all chirping about, not dying. He was like, 5 months when we bought him. Um... he lives in a small cage and I never feed him. He never dies. He is immortal. His name... Buddy. Get it? Buddy? Budgie? Lol, i crack myself up. Hmm... lets see... He's light blue and small, and is very cute, though I dont pay attention to him anymore. My fish are almost all dead. But one stayed alive. I think he ate the other ones, but I forgot his name. I had this pink one named bubble gum. And a small cute little one named chico. I had more but I forgot their name.
