Have you tried deleting the install directory (hold shift then right click>delete) and removing the registry entries?

the only way to uninstall was to make a system restore point before installing - one of my friends did that and had to format

START>RUN>regedit
HKLM/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/MediaPlayer
Change BlockUninstall to 0
Remove the entries from all the other HKEY's, it should have the same structure or it may not be in that HKEY.
Remove the install directory with Shift+RightClick+Delete
Remove all shortcuts
That should do it

I take no responsibility if you delete the wrong key or file
or otherwise screw up your system by not being exact
and meticulous with this stuff
