Because it slows page load and would be abused anyway.

Yup, and I remember quite some time ago a member was having lots of images. but what I fail to understand is a large board like InvisionBoard allows images, why not here? Surely both are approximately the same.

Yeh but theres a option in the CP for users not to view sig imgs
