I'm creating a music site about Weezer and I'm thinking about adding an online store. Is it legal to sell Weezer merchandise that I create (Weezer pics on t-shirts)? Or is it only legal to sell merchandise related to my Weezer site (URL of my site on t-shirts)?
Thanks,
Ronaldo

I think you'll find that most images you'll find on the Internet are copyrighted and that the actual band name may be trademarked. Due to this you're probably better off selling 'authentic' merchandise.

Try selling products through cj.com if they have the mentioned merchandising. If not, be sure to get some approval somewhere. Bandnames and pictures are mostly protected by copyright laws!!!

You shouldn't run into a problem if you take the pictures yourself. Celebrities are public figures & give up a lot of privacy rights. However, as a band, they have probably copyrighted or trademarked their name/logo... I suppose you would have to contact their agent about the use of their name/logo...it's worth a shot.
