Well, there's no zero ball, so that would take it down to, what, 1 out of 729? But Webdude wanted the odds, not the probability, so 728 to 1 against.

That actually isn't too bad, as far as a lottery goes. Damned of a coincidence, though.

Anyone know how many people actually chose those numbers?A whole bunch of people did, 5631.

It's a strange coincidence, yes, but it's not really that outrageous. With just three balls and only the numbers 1-9, how many other times has the drawing matched the date and gone relatively unnoticed? The odds aren't too against it, it just stuck out a bit more this time.

Sorry about the misspelling of your name, i was half-asleep.

I never said that about loaded dice. Loaded dice are dice which have been purposely modified to add more weight to one side so that the chance of getting 7 is extremely small. That can also be used to make a pre-defined number come up, for example the number 911 on 9/11. But did you read the silver part? (*Sarcasm). I was joking, I don't know if the Pick 3 ping-pong balls were "loaded"....
