Portal System

I am in need of a portal system like, http://www.dbgt.com and http://www.dbgtn.com have. It is just a simple login and once logged in you can post on a mini bb, view other users online and their status ( what page their on), some info about the user, and a way to make anypages i want unaccessable to anyone that isn't logged in. The script must allow people to signup and sign in automatically, e-mail them a reminder of their password when they sign up (but no authentication).

I don't want something like phpnuke, or i wouldn't be asking this. I want something fully customizable that i can encorporate into my site. Any ideas? Thanks...
