I was looking at the avatar and reading the sig and I COULD NOT SWALLOW! (you know, SPIT... dont get those OTHER thoughts in your head).

Quiet, you! This is my boring story!

I had run the subliminal signature and avatar combination for a while and no one figured out what the secret message was (incidentally, the secret message was "this is a secret message"), so I figured it was time for something new. Thinking of quotes from The Critic, as I often do, I found Duke Philips's line "gaze into the hypnotic power of my evil eye" stuck in my head. I wanted to do something that could tie in with that, but just a plain hypno-swirl avatar wasn't enough. I didn't know where to take it, I was in a rut. Around that time the duck explosion set off-- everyone was including a duck in his avatar. I found my centerpiece, adapted the quote accordingly, made the avatar, used bold, italics, and font sizes to suggest how to properly read the signature, and that's that. The end.
