Can anyone tell me, what's the most common script which some of the large free web host use to force ads in their members site? And how do they replace the ad codes with a pop-up when the ads code are not detected ?

There is no ad placing system that checks like you want, most providers use custom written systems which run through pages when uploaded and place on banners or apply them on a http base so when you access a doc on the server an ad is served without the need for anything on the page.

There are members that have well over 7000 files and have no problems using out browser uploader which allows 10 files at a time.

Its just not a viable business option to give out ftp access and have no ads, look at 9ug, they tried it and failed.

Hey sphosting.com a few questions...

Where in Australia do you live (Just relised that ABN + 61 Mobile number)

How can your company earn $50,000+ or is your ABN related to another company. I got told that you do not require an ABN if your company doesnt earn more than $50,000per annum.
Where's your server located and who hosts it?

Thankyou

What most companies do is setup a script and run it using a cron job. Than it checks all new files that have been uploaded within xx number of minutes.. checks for the code, places the banner code or places a pop-up.
