I haven't used websafe color palette on my pages because the browsers used nowadays seem to show all colors properly. Anyway I recently read the complaining of one webdesigner that people don't use websafe palette. Should I use it? Do you use use websafe colors? What happens if the browser doesn't support it? An ugly color chosen by browser?

That only really matters for people with 256 color displays... Otherwise the browser will choose the closest color or dither it... Almost everybody uses 16+ bit color nowadays anyway...
