Well i just came into a little bit of extra cash (Yippie!) and i decided to get a DVD-RW, but i have a few questions before i do.

1) You know how there are two different DVD Copying formats (DVD-RAM, and DVD-RW) well will DVD-RW work with an X-Box (with a mod-chip), PS2 (again with a chip), and DVD Player?

2) The one i am getting costs $750AUS (about $408.2401 US or $647.3876 Canadian). Is it worth it?

Here is a link to it http://www.cws.net.au/pioneer/a04.html

Thanks.

Oh Yeah, also what are some good sites to buy computer stuff online (like RAM, hard drives, etc)?

Couldn't you use a VCD with a regular burner?

I think Ulead makes a nice little application which burns DVD's via your CD-RW drive.

About the hardware sites:
http://www.newegg.com
They have the cheapest prices I have ever seen on the net for hardware.

Yeah but that just turns the DVD's into a VCD. The main reason i want the burner is so when i buy X-Box games for $90 i want a working backup :p, but first i gotta know if DVD-R's will work with the X-Box.

EDIT
I have decided on getting a Memorex DVD-RW as it is only(!) $606 AUS, which is about $150 Cheaper, and it supports Raw CD-R Copying, but this is only if someone can tell me if games copied with it will work on the X-Box.

EDIT AGAIN
About asking for cheap hardware, is their anything like www.newegg.com that ships to Australia?

YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH EDIT'S
I thought for a while about big places that ship to Aus, and it popped into my head, www.amazon.com so anyways now it is only gonna cost $560AUS, so it is getting cheaper and cheaper. But my other question still stands, can DVD-R's be read on an X-Box?
