Converting Mpeg

Hi Everyone,

I have my own home page that I'm puting together at the moment

I wanted to have a music video clip open up when the home page opens

I have the original music clip in mpeg format but of course it's far to big so I converted it to windows media which took it down to about 2.8 MB, still too big for a slow internet connection

Is there a way of converting this mpeg video to a much smaller format that opens from the web site or even start's playing as it downloads

I would like to know if there's any programs that could do this and what their called and even where I might be able to find them

I hope some one might be able to give me some idea's for this problem
