Apache trouble

I am having trouble with Apache. After installing Apache on my Windows 95 system, I tried to start Apache and it wouldn't work. The DOS window opens for half a second and closes. I looked at the error log and it says "failed to get a socket for port 80." What should I do?

If you will install apache on Windows 95, stop. First you need to download and install the Windows Socket 2 Update from Microsoft, available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/bin/W95ws2setup.exe, before you proceed to download and install Apache on Windows 95.
