Hey I need (want actually) the following:
- no ads (or 1 popup screen)
- ftp
- 2gb bandwidth / month or more
- no filesize limit (or around 4-5 mb) (because I would like to upload my homemade mp3s, pictures (logos) and MIRC SCRIPT)
- as much space as possible (everything above 15mb)
- that would be all :D I DONT need fancy stuff like flash, frontpage ext. php cgi.
- what I would appreciate is a fast server

2gig is a bit too much for a personal site.
I bet you don't even pass 200MB/month.
Well...you could try
- http://www.payinghost.com (unlimited space, unmetered bandwith - FTP - no ads - allows zip,mp3,...)
[Strange host if you tell me, they pay you for you hosting your site on their servers and they don't even place ads:confused:
If somebody now how this host works, please tell me.]
- http://www.fateback.com (60MB space, unmetered bandwith , FTP , don' now about filesize limit - no ads)
...search here for more : http://www.amzweb.net/~ionic/freehosting.shtml :)

Payinghost? I tell you how it works: Dialers. Avoid at all cost, unless you hate your visitors.

5. Single file on a given site shoud not exceed 300k in size. No movie (AVI, MPG, MOV, etc.) files are permitted. No scripts or audio files are permitted. :( <<<< fateback :(

I'd also like to offer my assistance, except for the mIRC script. From a hosts point of view, anything ending in IRC is evil :fork:

Can't you use your webspace from your ISP?
My ISP gives me 50MB, no ads, fast and I can upload all files I want with no file size limit. Most netherlands ISP give the same as far as I know.:)

Actually, despite what that says, Fateback does allow audio files (the admin said do), as long as they're under 200 kb in size (that's the file size limit, not 300 kb). They need to revise their TOS. However, Fateback is very slow, even compared to other free hosts.
