Hi
I am looking for an ad-free message board.
I don't need too complicated function, but it can't be too simple. I don't need multi-board or multi-category. But at least, it should be tread-like, and if possible, move the newly-replied thread to top.
If possible , shorter URL.
It would be best that it doesn't have AD banner.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks in advance.

At the moment there's a free Ikonboard at http://www.1fx.org
How long that's going to last in its present form is anyone's guess, of course. Right now they're providing it free to promote their paid web hosting.

You're not going to find a banner-free board very easily.
I wonder why every remotely hosted web board is gutted with ads yet FWPs can offer megs of space and remain addless?

http://www.revamp.net has both wwwboards (simplistic) and UltraBoards (advanced) without ads. The URL isn't very short, though.
There doesn't seem to be anything anywhere that's in between simple and advanced.

Yeah the best ad-free message board is you setting one up yourself on an ad-free server or buying webspace with no ads to put one at :) anyway, my 1yen.

My idea too, but revamp.net is good, no ads, fast, easy to customize,... The best way to host your own forum is phpBB on F2S. If you need help, I can set everything up for you. Then it's dome sort of remotly hosted.
See an example: http://www.prog-home.f2s.com/phpBB

Homepagetools and Revamp. But the reason is that probably becaue of their TOS, which unlike other bulletin boards, allows this.

1fx.org was kind of an extra domain that was pointed at this page: http://www.dockingport.net/free-resources/
They're still offering the board, although they don't appear to be using that domain any longer.

They're "currently down for maintenance".
