Guess this makes the US citizens more bent on bringing terrorists to justice, and add to Bush's intention to get rid of Saddam hussein.

I don't think this was the work of Hussein :chinese2:
Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) is considered the chief suspect.

I saw that on CNN. Very, very sad indeed. :cry2:
It makes me think "What's going to happen today?" when I get up in the morning.

We've just read that a client has finally received word that her brother (who was nearby) is safe and sound. Some good news, at least.
Cheers

Indeed...I hope we get a lot more good news out of this carnage :cry2: The sights I have seen today on TV ....well I am just glad I wasn't there to witness it. The survivors will have nightmares for years with what they have been through, especially the able bodied who helped the severely injured and *looked past* the dead. True heros.....

Just heard that x amount of Australians have been discovered as having been evacuated to a Singapore hospital. Hopefully that makes the "unknown" toll look a little better soon.

Even though Saddam had nothing to do with this, awful event. I'm sure it will add more to Bush's intention to get rid of Saddam hussein

Hey Adam, you should give your newspaper reporter a geography lesson :biggrin2:
The London-based Sun newspaper declared: "The World Weeps Again: Bomb kills 187 in Australia's 9/11".

Some idiot Islam militant cleric claim "the US president did it as he wanted to have an excuse to wage war on Muslims and Islam. we must not fall for his trap". This is the lamest thing I've seen!!!

However, it is not doubt the work of Al Qaeda, which is backed by Hussain.
I guess all those protestors ( which may include some of the victims and their families) who hold protests against President Bush and John Howard for wanting to deal with Iraq should start to change their minds now.

Then it scared his children and everyone who's a Muslim in that area. The police denied 20 people making trouble, identifying 2 to be the cause.

This was last night in Sydney, about 24 hours ago. If I remember the news report correctly, the Father is involved with a local Muslim school.

Yes, and if I remember the school was attacked also right?

I don't know. The showed the school during the report, but I think that was just to show where the Father and kids attended and that they were still trying to remain open. The actualy damage was only to the private home I believe. Either way, it's a worry.

John Howard's a good speaker and motivator, but never thought he could be a more emotional Bush. :cry2:

Seriously, who said this had anything to do with Hussein? And who said that Hussein backs Al Qaeda? They are merely theories provided by George Bush who needs some excuse to attack Iraq. There might be evidence, but you'd be better off finding evidence that Ariel Sharon ordered war crimes to be committed in Israel.
Anyway, this is terrible, and I really hope that the criminals will get the punishment they deserve.

I just got this in an email....
THE SPIRIT OF OZ
You hurt us bombing Bali, but we can take the pain,
But if you think you'll beat us, you can think a-bloody-gain
We battled at Gallipoli and we fought the bloody hun
Of all the arseholes we've had to face, you're just another one
You won't get your hands dirty, you won't fire a gun
Whenever danger threatens you just pack your gear and run
You brainwash innocent children to do your evil deeds
Careful not to let them know just where it really leads
You get them to believe all your bigotry and lying
Until they cannot see that there's no glory in their dying
Now we'd like to pose a question, answer if you can
Where does your holy book tell you to kill your fellow man?
Now listen hard and listen well, we're giving you the word
You're never gonna beat us, you spineless bloody turd
You'd never face us personally, you haven't got the guts
You know that if you ever did we'd have your bloody nuts
Our spirit is unbroken, and our heads are still unbowed
We sure as hell aren't scared of you and your gutless crowd
So get your act together -- you'll never win because
What you're really up against is the spirit that is OZ

It has hurt my country! Blast, now Singapore is being lumped together with the other countries in SEA as being unsafe, although Singapore has already caught dozens of them. The economy's gonna suffer again.
