Restore with Windows XP

Hi,
I restored XP because of a program which ruined my connection, i deleted some files from my Desktop by mistake & when i Undo'ed the restoration it putted the folders i deleted back, but without the files that were in them, it also deleted all my other restore points and now all my really important files were deleted.
Does anyone know how could a i repair this? (restore it to another point)

If all the restore points is not working, there is probably no way of retrieving it back unless you have a backup program.
