Now if I could just get it to work.. It wont accept the default password. Anyone want to lend a hand?

If I remember well there's a settings.dat file or something somewhere, the first line is your password if I'm not mistaken. If that still don't work, make very sure that you uploaded this file as ASCII not Binary.
Good luck :)

i think i remember there being a lot of spaces under the password [like zef hit enter a bunch of times]. remove them, so there are no blank characters under the password, and reupload it. i got it working fine after that.

I got that script, and I installed it. The readme.txt file said that the default admin password was redirect, so I used that, and it worked fine.
The problem I am having is if any scripts on my domain have a .pl extension, they don't execute...they just bring up a download/open dialog box (even if I CHMOD). Because of this, I renamed all the scripts .cgi and updated all of the internal links.
Oddly, no subdomains actually work--at all. Signing up works, but if you try to go to the address, you just get a 404 error.
Is this because the scripts are named .cgi now?

soounds like you don't have a wildcard enabled on your domain. that's something you'll have to talk to your host about.

Ok, i tryed re-installing the script to make sure it was ascii. It was!. I checked the password file like kieth said. It still does not work!

Yeah, my host told me that too--but they don't support it.
Oh well :(

Hello all,
I would like to start a redirection service too. But don't these scripts require unlimited subdomains and wildcard enabled?
Can anyone please tell me of any host that can enable your wildcard. Or tell me what's your host. Thanks.

Question: Does the script have to be hosted on the same domain you're using with it, or could I install it on my Tera-Byte account, but use a different domain for the service?
