I'm not sure who did it, and I'm probably not allowed to talk about it, but I think a good hearty cheer should go to the admins and mods for banning Y2Kevin. Man, he was getting on my nerves.

He was always asking for reviews on his site when he didn't change it. But then again, he wasn't as irritating as another guy.

yay well done :D

Did the comment he posted about my site have anything to do with it or can't you say?

Indeed, that was his final warning...some others also received warnings from that thread (posts removed to protect the innocent).

Just a little reminder of the the updated rules.

Three strikes and you are out

We send you a warning explaining what you did wrong the first two times you break our rules. If you ignore our warnings and abuse one more time, you will get banned. You will not be able to post here anymore. We never revoke a ban, so don't ask us about that.

Does that mean if you commited an offence for like, January, and another in next year, u have two? Or will your tally be reset?

Nothing is concrete as per this quote of Todd's, but I think after a year they should have proved their worth as a forum member :)

Good question, I was waiting for this one. We've discussed it and I believe the agreed upon time frame will be one year for all warnings. The time frame may or may not be different from one year. Wait for the rules to be updated to reflect, "expired warnings" so to speak.
But usually abusers continue and within two weeks (Sometimes two days), they are gone. We have a few with only one strike, who have been model "citizens" since that first warning. :classic2:

Do you guys keep a record?

Jan

Of course! How else would we remember how many one has? With a few of us issuing them, if we didn't have a record, we would never know who did what and when. :biggrin2:

Trenz, you just double posted so I think that's spamming. :p

Seriously though...I was about to offer y2kevin hosting if he would design a site for me...it's a win-win situation since I got my hosting for free.
