Ideas needed

Hey all,

I signed myself up for a project called "Small Businesses" (Jeunes Entreprises in fr).

Yesterday was our first meeting.
We got to know each other and then we discussed a little about some products we might be able to make.

Our group is made of 21 people.
7 from my school
7 from St-Henri
7 from Felix Leclerc

We have a 300-400 CDN$ budget.

What might be the stuff we might be able to produce?
We already have a little list, but all those things are quite basic and not innovative enough to sale.

Ideas / Suggestions welcomed :)

Apple pies, cookies, start a tutoring/coaching/repairing/graphics design/car wash service...I mean there are a lot of things out there that you can do...depend on what kind of skills you have...:)

Literally make and sell, or is this some kind of exercise in imagination? If you mean for real, what's your overall goal? To make a profit or "gain valuable experience in the business world"?

What you could do is sort of dependent on what you're trying to do.

Basically what it is, is to learn how a real companie works. Like all the stuff the president has to make, marketing departement, $ departmenent, stuff like that.

To learn that, we actually create a small companie.
We start from scratches, think of a product to make and produce it and sell.

We will have 2 sales events.
1 in Christmass time at the center we are in. (13 groups)
and
1 in april at the Dejardins Complexe (HUGE 'shopping' center) (all groups from ALL montreal ~60-70)

So our product has to be original and usefull since we will have alot of competitors.

Bell Canada will we awarding prizes for the best company, president, vice-president, marketing, blabla.

Prizes range from a summer job in one of canada's best companies to 1000$


Off course, the success of our company is directly linked to the product we will make.
Better product = Better company
Better company = Better Sales
Better Sales = Better Reputation
Better Reputation = Our stocks prices go higher


So we need a good usefull product to make, It can't be a service offered.
