Whats some good irc server software? with basics....and paid is ok but pref. free
any that run on linux or windows (one or the other)

won't irc servers fry your pc? my cousin had a mirc server for his project. and it end up burning his pc.

I've ran Unreal on my computer for a while and it's not fried. Heck it worked fine when I had 56k.
