Hey all

I got my PocketPC2002 device on monday and got my toshiba 2gb pcmcia hard disk on friday.

I've already put like 600mb of music on it and still have plenty of place :)

I was thinking of putting a movie on it so I can watch it the bus.

I'm using DVDx to rip my dvd's into DivX. But I am having a problem. I can't select lower sound settings then 80kb, stereo.

I'd need about 32-40kb, mono, but DVDx wont let me.

If I take 80, stero, the movie lags soooooo much in PocketDivX.
But when I disable audio from within PocketDivx, it plays wonderfully.

What can I do?
Is there another program out there similar to DVDx (rips directly to hard disk, no need to copy vob files, decrupt, decode, blablabla) or do I need to use the stupid long method (copy vob, decode, decrupt, blabla then virtualdub and blabla)

Suggestions needed :)

Thanks

Wojtek

Checkout out the divx guide and I leanred I'll need 8-9Gb of temp space.... Not quite what I have, I only have 4gb empty

I just thinked of something.

What about:
- ripping video separate using DVDx ( no need for 8gb of temp HD space )
- rip sound separate using ?????
- sync both using ?????

Anyone has any ideas?

Hey, try using ... umm ... what was it called ... FlaskMPEG.net

You have to convert each movie file individually (DVD > DivX) and the sound comes in different files, so it's a hassle to play them....
