Does anyone know of any sort of streaming audio software that would let me set up sort of a radio station from my computer?

You can try live365.com or RealPlayer Plus

Small and simple, yet it works great.

Download this:

It worked for me.

It should work fine... the developers went under a while back, so you'll see a message saying it can't connect to the server, but the program will still work fine.

http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/new/graphics_and_multimedia/audio/audio_tools/mcSetup.exe <-- this version wont let you enter the program without registering/logging on to the server :confused2

Winamp and shoutcast.. I would also recomend checkout out sam: http://www.spacialaudio.com/index.html?page=downloads

Do keep in mind that depending on what you broadcast, you may need to pay royalties. Also, streaming audio tends to take up a lot of bandwidth, so be prepared. I ran a online radio station for nearly a year and a half and it what quite a job to keep it going, not to mention keeping all the dj's organised and whatnot.

Thanks Haze.

I'm not looking to start a real internet radio station. Just experimenting.
