In Netscape, if you have an anchor that is displayed, but not at the top of the screen, when you click to that anchor, it is put at the top of the screen. (I like this)
In Explorer, nothing happens when you link to an anchor if it is on the screen.
1)Is there any way to make Explorer work the way I want.
2)Does anyone know how Mozilla deals with this?

I don't get what you're saying, what's your problem with the way IE handles anchors? an example, maybe?

Go to
www.geocities.com/wefnut/plans/mustool.html
If you CAN see the heading "Part's List" centered near the bottom of the screen,
press Parts List on the left menu.
Netscape will put the centered "Part's List" at the top of the screen.
Explorer will do nothing.
If you can NOT see the centered "Part's List", pressing PL on the menu will put it at the top of the screen with either browser.
How can I induce IE to put it at the top of the screen? (Without having duplicate pages that call each other's anchors)

I understand what you're saying now, but I can't seem to replicate what you're talking about. With the "Part's List" already visible, when I click the "Parts List" link, it's moved up to the top in Netscape 4, Netscape 6, Mozilla 1.2, Opera 6, and IE 6 all more or less the same. Is it a particular version of IE that this doesn't work for you in?

Hum,
It doesn't work on IE 4.5 for the Mac.
Oh well.
By the way, how many Microsoft engineers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
None, Bill Gates just redefines darkness as the standard.

There's no problem with your anchor links in the URL. All works here with IE 6 and Netscape 6.2. Maybe a Mac bug?
