I can't imagine the surroundings that must have taken place for this to happen, cause J was one of the biggest anti-violence advocates out there, and for him to be gunned down, ----, I don't even wanna think about it.

Jam Master Jay was part of Run DMC, who are like the godfathers of hip hop. As George Stromboulopoulous put it, all of the hip hop you here, most of the rock you here, and the shoes you wear on your feet are all there cause Run DMC did it first.

Anywho, as the story goes, J and a buddy of his were in a studio apartment in Queens (I think it was Queens), and a couple of men broke in and shot Jam Master Jay. It really doesn't make sense, cause Run DMC was always positive, and anti-violence, so this was the last person anyone expected this to happen to.

They were working on a new CD in a recording studio and when they got out is when the dude shot him...at least thats what the local news said.
