* 25-30MB space
* the ability to hotlink images
* no advertisements
* ftp facility
Long shot, I know; still...
Many thanks for taking the time to read my post.
Cheers!

We've got all of the above EXCEPT hotlink images. We
do not allow images stored on your web site to be hotlinked
from any other site on the internet.
10 to 70 MB Web Space
Text link only ... no popups or banners
FTP upload access
ASP, CGI / Perl, & PHP
MySQL Database
Frontpage 2002
FREE E-Mail Accounts
DNS & URL Redirection Services
Domain and Subdomain Hosting
If hotlinking is critical for you then you might look elsewhere;
otherwise, we might have what you need.
The FREE hosting service link is http://www.amzweb.net

amz, thank you for responding. :)
Unfortunately, I cannot make use of your kind offer as I do need the space to also store images.

70MB space is more then enough for all your images. Why need hotlinking?

amz,
would you host people without posting in your forum? because I don't know what to write in order to get a lot of posts.

Thank you all for trying to help!
[NeO], hotlinking because I intend using some of the images in forums and some in e-mails.
Cheers!

If only the people here knew that:
1) No one wants to give you php/mysql so that you can have a forum no one posts on except you. (I know, you didn't ask for it, but it applies nonetheless to 90% of the other requests here).
2) No one wants to host your DBZ avatars of some cartoon guy having flames flash around him.
3) There's always a catch, at least ads or required posting are the overt catches, the rest of them (like porn 404s) aren't as apparent, and often not so nice.
4) If you want the features of a paid host, the speed of a paid host, the support of a paid host, and the reliability of a paid host, where did you find the word "free"?
Sorry about that, just vented a little after seeing nearly every post asking the same thing :).

Muttle.com, thank you for making it abundantly clear that my request belongs to the remaining 10% category.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, don't.

I'm aware of this sleaze factor. Hence my reason for not going with http://www.web1000.com.

Muttle.com?

You're welcome. Feeling better now? :D

So for #2, did I hit the nail on the head? :)
Muttle does not have the features of a paid host, for a couple reasons including security, laziness, and server load.
And then of course, there's sometimes the sleaze factor even when there are ads :p.

I agree with all your factors...especially number 1 ;)
Everyone wants PHP and MySQL...just for a dead community forum - (why not try remotely hosted boards?)...If people really want a good service along with PHP, Perl, Databases, 99% up-time - there are paid hosts offering packages as low as $3 p/m. :)
Hope that helped.
