Soon, I'll need to build an online shopping engine, or adopt an existing one such as Interchange or Agoracart. Actually, writing this functionality myself doesn't look too hard (I know about PHP, SQL, Perl etc. - and what I don't know I can find out), especially as I'll be plugging into a 3rd party credit card handling company. Except, there are a few things I don't know how to handle:
1. I'll be offering a service, reselling HTML and .swf 'digital commodities'. I want to take a commission and pay the remainder to the contributer. This is known as SPLIT TICKETING.
2. I want new contributers to be able to easily sign up on line. (ie. if they need to sign up also to the 3rd party credit card comapny - then the way in which my site links into theirs makes this easy for them and avoids repitition).
It may be just a matter of finding the right credit card handling company - who can do this stuff, or an online shopping engine that handles this for me. Any suggestions? Btw - I may want links into two credit card handling companies - one for Australian dollars, and one in US dollars for the rest of the world.
