Editing Form Boxes

I have noticed that on some forms, e.g. text boxes, the text is arial, text size is smaller, the border color is different, the background color is different, the box is smaller, etc.... How is this? A tutorial that shows me how is fine.

you'll need to learn style sheets

it's heavy going in some places, but i can't think of any easy tutorials off the top of my head, but a search through google should bring some back.
