Forgive my sarcasm, but that's like saying "I want a website but I don't want it hosted anywhere."

MX records are **required** for a mail server sending an email to you@mysite.com to know where your mail server is. In *some* cases, but not all, a mail server will attempt to send to the server of the domain if no MX records turn up. i.e., an email to you@mysite.com, and mysite.com has no MX records, the server will try to connect to mysite.com port 25. NOT always, just sometimes. I would rely on that method to only give me 20% of my emails. :p

I agree But if you want email without setting MX record just buy domain hosting that also will give you email. Or buy email with your choisse domain like in Yahoo
