ok, gotta question for you. what would you prefer. the current system of unlimited subdomains at wzr.net, or path forwarding?
i can't have both running at the same time. i can institute path forwarding [real path forwarding, like alias.wzr.net/dir/file.html goes to www.host.com/alias/dir/file.html] right now, but that would disable the subdomains feaure completely. basically, i can't have them both, they won't work together.
right now there's path forwarding like alias.wzr.net/?dir/file.html
let me know what you prefer.

The sub-domains... I have several of them running thru there now and it would really mess me up if they went away. :(

Path forwarding is a nice thing to have, but sub domains are better.

hehe, that's what i figured. thanks for the input.
i'll keep working on getting the true path forwarding to go along with the subdomains as well, but if not, i'll just leave it be.

Is it possible to add the '?' at the end of the DirIndex command in .htaccess to get rid of the '?' in path forwarding, or is that not possible?

dude, i have no idea, but i got it figured out. i just had to have the main page start out in a frame. so wzr.net frames wzr.net/wzr/.
but anyhow, it works! alias.wzr.net/whatever/whatever.html works, subdomain.alias.wzr.net/whatever/whatever.html works. sorry if i seem a bit over excited, but this is coming from a guy with little to no cgi/perl experience.
so it works with any zone on wzr.net, and any subdomains you specify under your zone.

That's cool. Too bad you don't have .com.mu's....
