I am aware that there are many out there. But how many Britney Spears sites are there. It is just a form of entertainment, which I have noticed that apparently many people here think it isn't to bad, because on average from the visitors from freewebspace they have on average looked at 30 pictures.. and that is par from search engines and what not... It's just a time waster, but I would like to know how to improve upon it. It will have more featrues in the future<near future>

Most of you visitors are probably submitting pictures of others. As long as the pictures are not coptrighted its ok, BUT, If you go searching and find some make sure they are not well known. I think that if you make the link for submitting bigger, you will get some better pictures.

Yeah, probably. I've seen pics scanned out of Maxim at Rankpeople.com . And I doubt Pamela Anderson would submit her own picture to one of these sites, but somehow there is a picture of her in the DB. There isn't a way to get around it though. But to prevent legal problems make sure submitters agree that they are the one in the picture, and if not, they are a breaking your TOS and the law.

About how many hits/day do you recieve? How many pictures do you have as of now. I Think a good idea would be to preview all the submitted pictures before They are listed on the site. That way you dont risk having any hardcore stuff up there for days before it gets reported. It could turn into a smut site real fast if it gets abused

We are still small, 1,000+ hits a day, 120 pictures or so. I look at all new pictures within a 24 hour period, and if gets to be a problem, I will do what you have said.

Watch out for doubles, and as you get more and more pictures maybe categorize them by popularity (#of votes) or age or amount or of clothing. Maybe have a status page showing how many pictures and number of new submissions in the last week. Eventually maybe even expand your one vote system to having votes for different features on the person.

Wrote it myself, uses a mysql backend so all those things you said about votes and doubles won't happen<unless they are at 2 different URLS> Also, the same IP cannot vote for the same picture twice in a 48 hour period and I keep time stamps, although until the database is larger, advertising how many pictures I have wouldn't be much of a promotion.
I also love the idea of voting on the features, I jotted that down, maybe after I finish what I am working on now, I will start on that, it will take about a week or two to get to, but def. worth it. It would keep people there longer which as we all know here is a def. plus.

Would a forum interest anyone? Or would a site like that having a forum be kinda rediculous <sp?> since they came to see chicks not type?

Oh and a little background, as many know here <I think> I run a couple of freewebhosts and started this to kinda get away from it all, I do it in my free time and it is a totally laxed environment unlike freewebhosting wher eI get 9000 emails a day asking questions that I just can't beleive people would ask. and blah blah blah... I am rambling because it is 2:37 in the morning and it is late...

That could take a long time to load. Classifying the pics by subject or something i mentioned earlier could be better. Top ten would be good. When i mentioned showing the number of pics, i meant it not to be for the sake of promotion, but to allow you to see if anything has been added since the last visit. A forum could be good to keep users involved and coming back. It might be worth a try; If no one seems to use it then get rid of it.
If youre used tio getting 9000 emails a day, set up a suggestions box, or have a vote on some features that you would be willing to include in your site.

Top 10 is a great idea. Only problem is my HTML skills suck. I will play with it, getting top 10 would actually be very easy so I will see what I can do maybe tonight or tommorrow. If anyone gets time feel free to add pictures. :) Where do ya'll think the top 10 could go? on the right? under the previous picture? a link to take them to a different page?

Well, been thinking about the top 10, gonna hold off for a couple more days<maybe a week or so, and let the votes get up for all the chicks. Also, for top 10, what should the minimum amount of votes be to be able to be in it. Obviously, 1 10, shouldn't allow one to be in the top 10. I am thinking 100 votes? Anyone care to input on that.

Also you have the url of the picture, which is kinda ugly, showing. (if you want it that way dont pay attention to me.)

I have considered re-setting the database. And what I have decided is when an IP has seen all the pictures, then it removes all the IP ientries and they would be able to vote again. So, technically, if they vote right now on all 220 pictures, then they could do it again. Doing it this way, the same IP won't see the same picture twice until they have gone through all of them. I will probably switch this to cookies to make it a little more friendly on my system. But this is the only thing running on it, so why not. Well, I put the URL in there today, thinking it would help people if they wanted to refer people to the picture, and it didn't bother me too much. What does everyone else think? 4 votes to remove it and it is gone :)<and maybe a suggestion on where I could put it so people could get the url to pictures

What other information would I collect for entering the pictures. I am trying to make it as painless as possible for people to add pictues. I don't see the need for a members area or anything of this nature. What fields would you suggest?

About your site, the color must change for the background, and make some more appealing text. Keep the simplicity, but just clean it up.

I wrote the script. If it wasn't coded in with the html I would release it, plus there are NO admin panels just yet, I still do things from the mysql command, no biggie, just don't get any help when I do it that way :).
If ya'll are interested I will probably have it finished in about 3 weeks.
