I was thinking about going with something like Proboards instead of using Invision Boards or PHPBB because I couldn't find a free web host that had enough space for it. Then I tried DK3.com's board. It looked great to me...didn't go to slow either. Now the thing is I need to make a decsicion. Have a Proboad that has customisable look or have a DK3 PHPBB that has the custom look...my site is here: http://and1zone.deep-ice.com It isn't finished yet I just thought by looking at the site that might help make the decsicion....Any help?

Avoid remote boards at all costs. They are very poor and tacky. Not to mention all the ads that are displayed on your board. :angry2:

Once I upgrade that account you'll see... you'll see! I'll be making more money in a month than you'll make in a year! (just kidding!). Wait, I'll probally not make a cent from the account at all.

Free webhosts are unreliable, far more unreliable than remotely hosted message boards. Not to mention all the pop-ups that they add - most of which are far worse than those you would find on remote hosts. :)

Freebok (http://www.freebok.net/) will offer free remotely hosted forums before the end of 2002. If it's as good as their guestbook service, it'll kick some ---.

You can't trust them anymore than Datablocks, and if they catch you using forums, they'll delete your account. :angry2:

because I couldn't find out how to customize their skins lol. I now use everyone.net communities. They are pretty good. I think I'll stick with them.

Have you tried Boardnation (http://www.boardnation.com/)? Just made my own forum just for testing it, here (http://users.boardnation.com/~manni/index.php).
