Hi.
i have 8mb Intel 740 display adater.
till this moment my AGP worked properly.(sometimes after crashing windows it had this problem)
but today i cant change resolution of this card.
when i change(display adapter drivers are working and i can change resolutions) resolution it always restarts Pc and after opening it says that my video adapter is not compatible with my system or drivers are not properly installed.(this message i received even before this. But after restarting it )
I am sure that my drivers installed properly.
but maybe there are some other problems.Maybe motherboard and bios.(I didnt change bios settings).
now i am surfing with 640-480 resolution.
can anyone help?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers? Or downloading drivers you know are right and installing them?

Go into the bios and make sure the graphics video memory is correct.

You may have fried your video card. Here's my suggestion: You can get a 32MB nVidia TNT2 M64 for about $35 USD (what I paid for it a year ago). Great with Counter-Strike, supports OpenGL...can run GTAIII with no problem on AMD Athlon 1.02Ghz (OCed 950Mhz)/256MB SDRAM......

It depends on what BIOS you have. Just look around, usually it's in the Chipset Configuration.

I'm guessing video cards are not widely available in your country? :confused2
Could it be possible that your motherboard doesn't support AGP 2x/4x?

If you have money available :D
i think intel do not like my chipset VIA.
cause there are many posts with problems from people who are using AMD.
Hmmm why it worked before and now it dont work.
my board support agp2x-4x.

the problem is this.
agp slot is too wide.intel card is slim.
