Usually you have to wait.

It doesnt work while playing before its done. It should work fine sicne you also downloaded the divx codec. So just wait till its done.

If your downloading from Kazaa or something, most of the movies are fakes and it's hard to tell which are which.

Porn, another movie, goatse, whatever, just not the movie you intend to download. Could also very well be a virus too.

A virus cannot be installed onto your computer unless the filetype is opened directly by windows (exe, msi, etc.). if it opens through say an avi file, it wont work since it's running through another medium which acts as a barrier between the virus and your system, preventing it from executing at all. Now watch me mess up, say something wrong, and get flamed.:chinese2:

It can be a virus if lets say the files ext is .avi.vb or .avi.exe or something.

Well then it's a double-extension, and its not really an avi.

Yes but how many times do you check the extension of a file you download off kazaa?

You can view an un-finished .avi file. You can download programs which will add an end to the file so that it can be read as a whole file, the only problem is that unless you make a copy of the file which you "complete" you are then unable to complete the download.

If your using Kazaa, you can preview movies that you download.
