Jan
November 23rd, 2002, 19:21
Yeah, I usually receive mine between 27th and 29th :)

Archbob
November 23rd, 2002, 19:22
Funny, I guess they really like paying me, I got my paypal payment the day before yesterday.

Jan
November 23rd, 2002, 19:27
I was referring to cheques not paypal. If I used paypal I would have got mine the day before yesterday too.

chris i can't believe fastclick didn't even drop you yet. since you need 3 months to make the mine requirements for check. and your site is a gaming site. how did you even get in at the first place? did you tell them you get 10,000 unique?

Chris2k2
November 24th, 2002, 12:10
What are you on about i get 10,000? I get no where near that.

I get about 400 visits a day that's not a lot really.

Obe1
November 24th, 2002, 12:59
no, i was saying is that what you entered. So you entered 400 on
the application? Cause I thought they won't accept any site that doesn't have at least 1,000 unique a day. anyways whats your default banner % are you getting? I am getting around 80% and this is like killing me.

Archbob
November 24th, 2002, 16:17
My gaming site gets around 250 uniques and its making me a good $20 per month off banners and po-unders. I get around 15% defaults. I have a solid 1.5% CTR.

Obe1
November 24th, 2002, 17:58
i guess the default got to do how many impression you give them.. do you get higher defaults durring weekends? mine during weekends go any where from 85%-93% weekdays are around 75%-80%.

archbob, is there something unique about your gaming site that fastclick accepted you? usually gaming is liek the worst site.

Chris2k2
November 24th, 2002, 18:01
I am making about $30 a month off my site.

How are you finding out these default things?

Obe1
November 24th, 2002, 18:06
its the button at the upper right hand corner of your 468 banner status.

Chris2k2
November 24th, 2002, 18:08
If you are on about payout rates i get 65%

Archbob
November 24th, 2002, 20:01
No, when fastclick does not have a normal banner to show, they show a default. I get about 15% defaults. I already had an account with fastclick on my freebie site so when I applied with my gaming site, they accepted within two days. My gaming site has a good 1.5% CTR, which is why there aren't that many defaults I'm guessing.

Obe1
November 24th, 2002, 21:09
i got 3-5% ctr, and still get high defaults.

Archbob
November 24th, 2002, 22:15
Thats strange, how many views do you get a day? I get slightly over 600 per day for my gaming site.

Obe1
November 24th, 2002, 22:17
25,000 pagviews and 4,500 unique around .

Jan
November 25th, 2002, 03:51
My defaults average are 14.5 with CTR 2.52.

Obe1, do you have a high percentage of non US/Canada visitors? That's about the only thing I can think of for your high default percentage

Obe1
November 25th, 2002, 07:02
i think i get 80% US/Canada traffic.

how much traffic u give to fastclick?

Jan
November 25th, 2002, 07:27
Around 150,000 a month. I don't have their ads on all pages. Having said that, I am about to replace i-clicks code with fastclick. :(

Chris2k2
November 25th, 2002, 11:37
Well i got a check today, $57.40 on it.
:D

I'll be happy to put that into my bank.
Can i ask are any of you from england here who cash $ checks?
If so do the bank not say anything about it or do you have to get it exchanged?

Obe1
November 25th, 2002, 13:47
of course cashing international check has a fee.. i hear people had to pay $8 to cash the check. but they are not from england.

Chris2k2
November 25th, 2002, 13:56

Obe1
November 25th, 2002, 14:02

Archbob
November 25th, 2002, 14:02
Its strange that you have such a high default, have you contacted fastclick. My traffic is 75% USA.

Chris2k2
November 25th, 2002, 16:42
Well as long as i make enough cash to pay the domain and hosting i will be happy with that.
A bit of extra cash to spend would be nice as well. He He :D

Need to concentrate on my studies. Sites don't take that much time to maintain, a job is different.

well when you create a site it takes alot of time. don't you think? unless you just put a few html table together that is another story.

Well i went and cashed my check with Halifax and they took £10 of the money off me for converting it from USD to GBP

I was not at all happy with this and cannot use PayPal to get the money transferred as i don't have a bank card that can be used on pay pal.

That means i only got £26 off the check.
And it will take 28 days to go into my account

TSB used to make me wait 28 days as well, but now they do it in a few days although if they cheque bounces then they will take the money away again lol, but good if you wantt he money fast and trust the source.

also you shoudl set the minimum for cheque's from fastclick at $100 or so (as higha s you can aford) because it really saves money, evan if you only save £20 over 3 months its still £20 :)
